FAQ

Q1. What kind of app is Kirottoh?

A1. Kirottoh is an app where you can record and share the “things about Japan” that you love. You can jot down everyday discoveries, travel memories, and memorable scenery in your “MyPlace,” and easily share anything from it that you’d like others to see. You can also discover new favorites by exploring the “everyday life” in Japan shared by other users. Kirottoh is for everyone who loves or is interested in Japan, whether you live here, have visited, or even if you’ve never been! We warmly welcome you to post your thoughts, creations, questions, or any experiences related to Japan.

Q2. What should I write in “MyPlace”? Can I make my posts public?

A2. “MyPlace” is your own special space. Feel free to write about anything you like—everyday moments of joy, travel footprints, your favorite Japanese scenery or food, and more. Everything you record in MyPlace is initially private and visible only to you. From there, you can easily choose to make public any posts you think “I’d like others to see this too!”

Q3. What happens when I make a post “Public”?

A3. When you set a post from MyPlace to “Public,” it will be displayed on Kirottoh’s “Timeline” and map, making it visible to other users. Let’s share the charms of Japan and wonderful episodes you’ve discovered with people all over the world. Of course, you can continue to manage your public posts in MyPlace.

Q4. Where can I see posts from other people?

A4. You can see posts made public by other users on the “Timeline” screen, ordered from the newest first. Additionally, using the map feature, you can see where posts were recorded and discover the unknown charms of Japan. Experience the “everyday life” from all over Japan and find your new favorites.

Q5. Are there any things I should be careful about when posting?

A5. Kirottoh aims to be a place where all users can safely share the charms of Japan. For this reason, we ask that you refrain from posting content that others may find offensive, or content that infringes on copyrights or other rights. Please check our Terms of Service for detailed rules. Let’s all work together to create a comfortable community.
